Im recently back from an exceptional time away in Peru, and sharing my most recent experience with the Jungle Medicine known as Kambo. Kambo is one of the most fierce purges/detox’s I have ever experienced with results to match. As a side note if you are looking for a really great place to take your family on a SAFE of the beaten track holiday, Peru is the place. Peru awesomely entertaining, reasonably cheap, and has so much to see. Their food is by and large free of the junk found in the US/West.

No visit to Peru would be complete without a visit to Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu is the mountain top city abandoned in the 15th Century. Words simply do not convey the magnificence of the place as it lies nestled high on top of a mountain amoungst the tropical rain forest.

My personal experience was profoundly humbling and a reminder of how the plants (and in this case frogs)  teach us about surrender… About embracing discomfort instead of trying to escape it. About truly and sincerely letting go of being in control. In each case I have come out the other side far better than when I went in. This is such a contrast to the modern western approach to trying to medicate symptoms.

My intention was to get to continue my own inner journey and learnings with the magnificently intelligent plant medicines.  The trick is find a reputable upstanding place. I had found one such place in a small village set high in the Andes mountains. A gorgeous little town totally forgotten by the world. Most tourist would go nuts in the local markets with the textiles, pots and ornaments, not to mention the inexpensive food.

Whilst at the retreat in between doing the plant based sessions which is a story all of its own, I chanced upon a local women offering Kambo Frog medicine to the participants if they were adventurous enough to partake.

Kambo is a medicine made from the toxins of the skin secretions of a small Amazonian green frog and the application itself is an initiation. Small holes are burned into ones skin with a special stick and the frog venom is applied through the burn marks. The participant drinks two full liters in the minutes prior to the session to ease the passage, and provide a vehicle for the toxins to be removed.

The onset of sensations is immediate. The heart starts to pound loudly in the chest. Ones throat swells (but will not close). A pressure builds from the spine up into the head as intense nausea sets in.  Sometimes the face swells making recipient look like a froggy human creature.

This leads to about 20—30 minutes of hearty vomiting. Each person is equipped with a bucket which is kept close on hand. Clearly the body is using the stomach as an elimination organ.

The results are out of this world as it clears out the gut, cleans up the liver, lymphatic system, cleans fungus out of the system and much more. Best of all one person in our group had laterally pounds of rope worm debris pouring out of their gut and into the loo over the next few days. Clearly it was excellent at chasing out massive amount of parasitic type fungal/biolfilm infection from deep within the gut. I personally for three days straight eliminated this gunk from my system.

The benefits are well worth the short amount of suffering and discomfort. Getting home now my digestion now seems hugely improved, bowel feel and work better and over all I have more clarity. I also seem to have improved eyesight.

Kambo is legal in all countries except Brazil.

Kambo Frog Medicine

Kambo Frog Medicine – Venom Extraction

The frog is caught deep in the amazon jungle by natives. They tie the frogs four limbs to four nearby sticks. The natives then taunt the frog which results in it secreting the poisonous sticky residue. These are then collected and made into a resin which is then applied to the willing (and sometimes unsuspecting client.) The frog is then released. No harm is done to the frog.

Clearly qualities within the frog venom trigger certain very powerful processes within the body. Ultimately the body uses the blood stream and lymphatic system to take the poison down and out for elimination…… mostly via the STOMACH by vomiting. No doubt that it kills parasites. The intelligence that drives it targets the highest priority. The cleansing of my gut was testimony to this!

For centuries the tribes in the amazon have used it as powerful medicine against snake bites, malaria, yellow fever and other epidemic diseases. Qualities bind with receptor sites situated in the brain, triggering chemical reactions in the body. Apparently researchers have found nine bioactive peptides that have a potent effect on the gastrointestinal muscles, gastric and pancreatic secretions, blood circulation, and on the stimulation of the adrenal cortex and pituitary gland. Tribes have been using it to treat a variety of brain type diseases such as Alzheimer’s and parkinson’s depression, migraines, blood circulation problems, vascular insufficiency, organ diseases, skin and eyes issues, fertility problems in women and men, AID’s, hepatitis not to mention Cancer.

Other interesting healing properties of this secretion are its ant anti inflammatory effects, its capacity to destroy microbes and viruses and heal infections.

The people who regularly receive this do not get sick and have plenty of energy.

Restoring a natural balance, it prevents the onset of complaints induced by viruses. Folk are inclined to call this frog secretion a medicine, but it doesn’t actually work as a typical medicine nor as a drug. It simply wakes up the body’s organs, endocrine system and defense systems to their natural functions.

Having been home now for a few weeks,my digestion now seems hugely improved, bowel feels and works better and over all I have more clarity.

Ive never heard of it doing harm, although I have heard of certain tribes who deliberately over dose their children to weed out the weak ones by using fire ant bites. The Women who treated me said that when she joined the tribe, they didnt care for her and would deliberately over dose her just to see what her reaction was. When she survived, they normalized her treatments and began TEACHING her. Respect now earned.

Would I do it again. Definitely
